The Wender Weis Foundation for Children (WWFC), a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, was founded in 1994 by Amy Wender in honor of her family. Based in the Bay Area, WWFC was created to provide charitable relief and assistance to children in need. WWFC’s philosophy is to address not only the physical needs of low-income, disadvantaged children, but also their emotional and psychological needs. To this end, WWFC uses the proceeds from fund-raising efforts to sponsor various outreach programs, which provide children with opportunities to build their self-esteem and self-confidence. Traditionally, WWFC has funded innovative sport and art-related programs, which offer children unique environments for growth and self-expression.
