Since 1995, Community Impact and WWFC have held an annual holiday party for abused children. Each year, over 100 children from local shelters, ages 1-17, attend this event at a community center in Palo Alto. Once the children enter this holiday wonderland, they find the halls decked with a holiday tree, poinsettias, balloons and other festive decorations. Holiday carols playing on the piano also help to create a loving and warm atmosphere for all of the children. For many of them, this may be their only holiday celebration. The guests go home with gifts, goody bags, full bellies, really big smiles and a whole lot of holiday cheer.
